Plastic Surgery News for 2012 will see many more men looking to plastic and cosmetic surgery as the baby boomers look for ways to stay competitive with career searches.

Cosmetic surgeries among men rose 2% from 2009 alone and more than 1.1 million cosmetic procedures in 2010 were performed, according to statistics provided by ASPS. Men are now beginning to show less signs of inhibition and are more accepting to new procedures which allow them to compete with younger individuals in the work force.

As more and more cost effective products are coming on the market, such as Botox, and Juvederm, the increase in cosmetic surgery requests are likely to continue to rise this year.  . These non-invasive procedures are popular because they smooth out wrinkles and reverse the aging process.  Orlando Cosmetic Surgery and our staff have noticed more calls this year from men, asking for these products. Call our office or complete the “get info”  form on this website to arrange for your appointment to discuss options to look your best.

In 2010 many people cut back on spending with the recession and the economic climate being what it was. It was also difficult to finance the surgeries with credit slowing down. However, 2012 is proving to be the year for elective procedures. The world of cosmetic surgery is seeing an uptick for plastic and cosmetic procedures (especially among men). Men are especially looking for nose surgery, eyelid surgery and male breast reduction.

  • Chemical peels are popular procedures for men wanting to combat imperfections like acne or just signs of aging
  • Chin liposuction is the most effective method for getting rid of double chins or excess fat under the chin and jawline.
  • Rhinoplasty (re-shaping the nose) is probably the most frequently performed cosmetic surgery procedure for men.
