Orlando Cosmetic Surgery, LLC Survey Report for 2012.

A survey conducted in the early part of 2011 by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) which shows that more than half of Americans now approve of cosmetic plastic surgery. In the past, the thought of considering this surgery meant having to bear heavy costs and putting up with the scrutiny of family and friends telling the patients to find other alternatives and to be less vain about their appearance. As this stigma is finally subsiding, and more and more affordable options are becoming available, normal everyday Americans with medium incomes are able to afford to look their best. It is no longer just for the rich and famous.

With the economy tanking, many older employees found themselves competing with a younger group of applicants for job openings. This made looking their best for their age (or for any age) more important than ever. In February a survey was conducted and it was found that 52% of those surveyed with an income of under $25,000 per year were now considering plastic surgery procedures such as  Breast Augmentation & Enlargement, Breast Implant Removal, Breast Lift (Mastopexy), Breast Liposuction, Breast Reconstruction, Breast Reduction, Buttock Lifts, Cheek Implants, Chemical or Micro Peels, Chin Surgery, Cleft-Lip and Palate, Dermabrasion Endoscopic Surgery, Eyelid Surgery(Blepharoplasty), Facelift (Rhytidectomy), Forehead Lift, Laser Skin Resurfacing, Lip Enhancement Liposuction, Male Breast Reduction, Nose Surgery, Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty), Restylane® Injections & Botox® Injections and more.

Higher income groups such as 48% of respondents with an income of $25,000 to $50,000 are now considering surgical procedures as an option. This percentage is up since 2009 and higher than ever before. The stigma that existed before is no longer present and cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures are becoming commonplace.
